ความคิดเห็นของเกษตรกรที่มีต่ออนาคตการปลูกยางพาราในตำบลหนองบัว อำเภอบ้านค่าย จังหวัดระยอง

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study 1) demographic factors, 2) economic factors,
3) knowledge of para rubber planting, 4) media exposure toward agricultural information, 5) the opinion
of farmers toward the future of para rubber planting, and 6) relationships between demographic factors,
economic factors, knowledge of para rubber planting, media exposure toward agricultural information and
the opinion of farmers toward the future of para rubber planting in Nongbua sub-district, Ban Khai district,
Rayong province. Samples consisted 323 para rubber farmers. Data were collected by using interview
schedule. Statistical analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, minimum, maximum
and chi-square.The results showed that farmers were female with an average age of 50.13 years old,

attained an elementary education or lower. Number of family was 3 persons. The average experience in
para rubber planting was 18.42 years. Most of farmers earned income from para rubber planting with the
average 8,867.12 Baht/Rai/Year. The average expense of para rubber planting was 2,420.65 Baht/Rai/
Year. The labor was 1 - 2 persons. The average area for para rubber planting was 19.02 rai. The average
amount of latex was 286.99 Kgs./Rai/Year. Farmers got information about agriculture from people media
from community leaders, specialized media from conference and mass media from radio and television.
Farmers were knowledgeable about cultivation para rubber with the average total was at the high level.
Moreover, farmers’ opinion toward the future of para rubber planting with the average total was at the high
level. The testing of hypotheses indicated that experience of para rubber planting, expense of para rubber
planting, source of investment, amount of latex, knowledge of para rubber planting and media exposure
toward agricultural information had relationship with the opinion of farmers toward para rubber planting at
0.05 and 0.01 level of significance.
