บทคัดย่อ

การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลของการเสริมไขมันพืชในอาหาร ต่อสมรรถนะการเจริญเติบโต ระดับคอเลสเตอรอลในเลือด และค่าโลหิตวิทยาในไก่เนื้อ โดยใช้ไก่เนื้อสายพันธุ์คอปป์ 500 (Cobb 500) อายุ 1 วัน จำนวน 90 ตัว วางแผนการทดลองแบบสุ่มสมบูรณ์ แบ่งกลุ่มการทดลองเป็น 3 กลุ่ม ๆ ละ 3 ซ้ำ ๆ ละ 10 ตัว ทำการเสริมน้ำมันจากพืช 3 ชนิด คือ น้ำมันปาล์ม, น้ำมันถั่วเหลือง และ น้ำมันกระบกในอาหารไก่เนื้อเป็นระยะเวลา 42 วัน พบว่า ชนิดของน้ำมันพืชในอาหารมีผลต่อสมรรถภาพการเจริญเติบโตได้แก่ น้ำหนักตัว หนักตัวที่เพิ่มขึ้น FCR และดัชนีประสิทธิภาพการผลิตแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (P<0.05) โดยการเสริมน้ำมันกระบกมีสมรรถนะการเจริญเติบโตดีที่สุด รองลงมาคือน้ำมันถั่วเหลือง และน้ำมันปาล์ม ตามลำดับ ไก่เนื้อกลุ่มเสริมน้ำมันกระบกมีแนวโน้มเปอร์เซ็นต์ซากสูงที่สุด (P=0.056) ปริมาณคอเลสเตอรอล และไตรกลีเซอไรด์ในเลือดไก่ไม่มีความแตกต่างกัน แต่มีผลต่อเม็ดเลือดขาวชนิดเฮทเทอโรฟิลล์ (H)  ลิมโฟไซต์ (L) และอัตราส่วนของ H/L แตกต่างกันทางสถิติ (P<0.05) ไก่เนื้อกลุ่มเสริมน้ำมันถั่วเหลืองมีค่า  H/L ต่ำที่สุด รองลงมาคือ น้ำมันปาล์ม และน้ำมันกระบก งานทดลองครั้งนี้สรุปได้ว่าน้ำมันกระบกมีประสิทธิภาพในการเพิ่มสมรรถภาพการเจริญเติบโตในไก่เนื้อดีที่สุดเมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับน้ำมันปาล์มและน้ำมันถั่วเหลือง
