Factors Affecting Members’ Opinions Towards Management of Doi Champi Farmer Housewife Group, Pa Sak Subdistrict, Chiang Saen District, Chiang Rai Province

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to 1) Study the basic personal, socio-economic and herbal knowledge characteristics of Doi Champi farmer housewife group. 2) Study the opinions of the groups on the administration of Doi Champi farmer housewife group. 3) Analyze the relationship between personal, economy and society and herbal knowledge characteristics including the farmer housewife group’s opinions. 4) Study the problems and obstacles and suggestions for the administration of Doi Champi farmer housewife group. The sample group used in the study consisted of 57 Doi Champi farmer housewife group and data collection was collected by using the interview form. Statistical data for analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, minimum and maximum values, standard deviation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results showed that most of farmer housewife were on aged of 55.42 years old in average, obtaining their educational background of 5.45 years and membership period of 11.80 years in average, having an average of household member of 3.47, most of them (81%) had main occupation as housewife and no additional occupation, their monthly income in 2016 covered 1,570.75 and 3,596.49 baht, respectively, from the group, more than half of them (54.4%) have never got any loan, they received the information 1.21 times/year as well as contacted the extension officers 0.85 times/year, and participated in training 0.78 times/year, they have gone to the city 4.78 times/year, and had knowledge of 6.36 at moderate level. In relation to opinions in four aspects of administration, the farmer housewife group showed a total mean of 4.33, means of leaderships’ role, administrative system, communication, and environmental condition were 3.96, 4.50, 4.44, and 4.43, respectively. Regarding opinions on farmer housewife group on administrative relationship, it found that they have had monthly income from the group in 2017 at positive significance, and had negative communication with the extension officers at statistically significance with opinions on group administration in 4 aspects (P<0.05) in aspects of problems and obstacles, they were many competitors and they could not produce the products in some periods, and it mainly seemed that they were very old. With regard to suggestions, new products’ invention by planning at work, and producing some kinds of products to be made in advance, and find more members for assisting to produce the products.
