บทคัดย่อ

จากการตระหนักถึงปัญหาของเชื้อแบคทีเรียที่ดื้อยาปฏิชีวนะ สหภาพยุโรปได้ห้ามใช้ยาปฏิชีวนะทุกชนิดในอาหารสัตว์ กว่าสองทศวรรษที่ผ่านมา งานวิจัยจำนวนมากมุ่งเน้นในการพัฒนาสารทดแทนยาปฏิชีวนะที่ช่วยให้สุขภาพและประสิทธิภาพการผลิตของปศุสัตว์ไม่เปลี่ยนแปลง สารทดแทนยาปฏิชีวนะที่ถูกวิจัยอย่างมาก ได้แก่ สารให้ความเป็นกรด เอนไซม์ สารสกัดจากพืช ซิงค์ออกไซด์ สารส่งเสริมชีวนะ และสารเสริมชีวนะ วัตถุประสงค์ของบทความนี้ เพื่อสรุปประสิทธิภาพและกลไกการทำงานของสารทดแทนยาปฏิชีวนะต่อสุขภาพและประสิทธิภาพการผลิตของปศุสัตว์
