The objective of this study to compare methods and cost of synchronize estrus in beef cows. Beef cows of the farmer who was member of Dok Kham Tai Beef Cooperative in Phayao Province were used. This experiment used native crossbred beef cows age of 3-5 years, 2nd to 4th parity, average body weight 350±450 kg. Design the experiment as completing random design (CRD). There were three experimental groups: 1) synchronized of estrus by using Ovulation Synchronization (ovsynch) protocol (15 cows) 2) by using Controlled Internal Drug Release (CIDR) protocol and 3) by using Plaster-Synchronization (P-sync) protocol (15 cows). On Day 7 of synchronization protocol, CIDR and P-sync were removed and then injected Prostaglandin F2alpha (PGF2α) hormone. Artificial insemination (AI) was performed at 55 h after PGF2α injection. Pregnancy diagnostics were performed with ultrasound at Day 60 after AI. Pregnancy and calving rate were performed using Chi-square test. The synchronize estrus CIDR group had pregnancy rate 73% (11/15) higher than P-sync group 47% (7/15) and ovsynch group 40% (6/15) (P<0.05). Calving rate in CIDR group had 66% (10/15) the higher ovsynch group as 40% (6/15) and P-sync group as 40% (6/15) (P<0.05). Cost synchronize estrus method in CIDR group had an average cost as 726 Bath/cow, group P-sync as 586 Bath/cow and group synchronize estrus ovsynch as 412 Bath/cow. Results indicate that pregnancy and calving rate in had greater results in CIDR but had cost more than another group.
