Guidelines for the Operation of Phatthalung Native Chicken Farming Community Enterprise

This research aimed to study 1) implementation of Phatthalung Native Chicken Community Enterprise group. 2) identifying the operating problems of Phatthalung Native Chicken Farming Community Enterprise group, and 3) proposing a guideline for developing the operational potential of Phatthalung Native Chicken Community Enterprise group of Ban Tak Daet Community, village No. 14, Khuan Maprao Sub-district, Muang Phatthalung District, Phatthalung Province. This study employed a qualitative approaches which included using a case study approach, collecting data from related documents, interviewing from a group of 12 key informants and using participatory observation technique. The operation of Phatthalung Native Chicken Community Enterprise group can be classified into four areas: 1) organizational management 2) production management 3) marketing management, and 4) financial management. There are some problems in organizational management, production management, market management and money management that are still inefficient, can't be totally self-reliant, limitation of product and marketing mechanism that cannot meet the needs of customers. In the future the group should improve by studying, training, and developing an effective model of operation.
