Farmers’ Technology Applications for Marian Plum Production in Nakhon Nayok Province

The objectives of this research were: 1) to study demographic context and economic context of marian plum farmers in Nakhon Nayok province, 2) to study the farmers’ technology applications in marian plum production, 3) to compare of farmers’ technology applications in marian plum production classified by economic context and 4) to study problems and the farmers’ recommendations in Marian Plum production. The samples consisted of 177 marian plum farmers. Data were collected by using questionnaire. Research hypotheses were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA). The research results showed that most farmers were female (61.02%) with an average age of 61 years old, finished primary school or none (43.50%). An average number of household members was 3-4 persons (62.15%). An average area of marian plum farmland was 2.68 rai and most of the farmers have their own land (81.92%). Household labors were 1-2 persons (78.54%) and no outsourcing (81.36%). An average of production expenses in 2021 was 15,173.45 Baht. An average income from marian plum production in 2021 was 45,179.10 Baht. The farmers used technology applications in marian plum production, in overall, on a high level (average 2.30). The hypothesis testing indicated that farmers who had different levels on production expenses and incomes used the technology applications differently at a significance level of 0.05.
