Living based on Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy of Farmers in Ban Wai Nieo Community, Tha Maka District, Kanchanaburi Province

Abstract

The objective of this research was to study living based on Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy
of farmers in Ban Wai Nieo community, Tha Maka district, Kanchanaburi province. Questionnaire was
applied for data collection from thirty four members of Ban Wai Nieo Community Finance Institute, Tha
Maka district, Kanchanaburi province. Descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, and mean
were used for data analysis. The findings revealed that overall living based on Philosophy of Sufficiency
Economy of farmers were at high level. It could be applied to daily life as follows. Moderation: vegetable
growing and animal raising at home garden as a raw material for cooking, and not too much or not too little
as sense making. Reasonableness: reasonable problem solving, and the use of resources saving.
Self-immunity: life insurance or cremation aid, and money saving for emergency spending. Knowledge:
knowledge on matters relating to economic, social and agriculture. Lastly, ethics and virtues: in both
aspects of being a good citizen and social assistance. So knowledge for planning, and creating community
activities that people in the community see together are needed to develop.
