ศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ในการใช้ก้อนเชื้อเห็ดเก่าเป็นวัสดุเพาะกล้าพริกขี้หนู

บทคัดย่อ
ก้อนเชื้อเห็ดเก่าเป็นวัสดุเหลือทิ้งจากอุตสาหกรรมเพาะเห็ดที่มีปริมาณเพิ่มขึ้นทุกปี การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ในการใช้ก้อนเชื้อเห็ดเก่าเป็นวัสดุเพาะกล้าพริกขี้หนูพันธุ์ซุปเปอร์ฮอท 2 เปรียบเทียบกับพีทมอสและดินผสม วัสดุเพาะ 9 กลุ่ม ได้แก่ ก้อนเชื้อเห็ดเก่า 7 แหล่งจากจังหวัดปทุมธานี ดินผสม และพีทมอส ได้รับการวิเคราะห์คุณสมบัติทางกายภาพ เคมี ชีวภาพ และปริมาณโลหะหนัก จากนั้นนำมาใช้ในการเพาะพริก เก็บข้อมูลอัตราการงอก ความยาวราก ความสูงต้น จำนวนใบ และน้ำหนักสด ผลการศึกษาพบว่า วัสดุเพาะจากก้อนเชื้อเห็ดเก่ามีคุณสมบัติทางกายภาพใกล้เคียงกับพีทมอส แต่มีค่า pH สูง (7.74-8.53) ปริมาณไนโตรเจนต่ำ (0.48-0.69 เปอร์เซ็นต์) และค่า C:N ratio สูง (58:1-124:1) อัตราการงอกของวัสดุเพาะจากก้อนเชื้อเห็ดเก่าอยู่ในช่วง 78.3-95.0 เปอร์เซ็นต์ซึ่งต่ำกว่าพีทมอส (96.7 เปอร์เซ็นต์, p<0.05) แต่ยังอยู่ในระดับยอมรับได้ ลักษณะการเจริญเติบโตของต้นกล้า (ความยาวราก 3.97-4.48 เซนติเมตร ความสูงต้น 3.86-4.60 เซนติเมตร จำนวนใบ 0.88-1.02 ใบ/ต้น และน้ำหนักสด 0.70-0.89 กรัม/20 ต้น) ต่ำกว่าพีทมอสอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ (p<0.05) แต่ไม่แตกต่างจากดินผสม ปริมาณโลหะหนักในวัสดุทั้งหมดอยู่ในระดับต่ำเมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับค่ามาตรฐานของประเทศไทย ผลการศึกษาแสดงว่า ก้อนเชื้อเห็ดเก่าจากจังหวัดปทุมธานีมีศักยภาพในการนำมาใช้เป็นวัสดุเพาะกล้าพริกขี้หนูได้บางส่วน หากได้รับการปรับปรุงเพื่อเพิ่มคุณสมบัติทางเคมี การใช้ประโยชน์จากวัสดุเหลือทิ้งนี้ไม่เพียงแต่ลดต้นทุนการผลิตแต่ยังสนับสนุนระบบเกษตรกรรมที่ยั่งยืน
